Type Indian languages in every text box
Learn easily. Speak freely.
Install Boli once in your browser and every text field becomes an Indian-language field — Gmail, Google Docs, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Web, job applications, interview forms, project notes. Type majha nav, press space, get माझा नाव. Everything runs on your machine, offline.
Install in five steps
- 1Download the ZIP below and unzip it.
- 2Open chrome://extensions in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc.
- 3Turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
- 4Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped Boli folder.
- 5Click the Boli icon, choose your language, switch typing ON.
How typing works
- Type Roman letters as usual — you see them while you type.
- Space or punctuation converts the finished word into native script.
- Backspace edits the word before it is converted.
- Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + B turns Boli typing on or off anywhere.
- Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + L switches between Marathi and Hindi.
- Set the language to English to type normally again.
Fully offline
The transliteration engine ships inside the extension. Nothing you type is sent anywhere — no network call in the typing path.
Same engine as the app
The extension reuses the exact Boli Keyboard engine, so what you learn on the web keyboard behaves identically here.
More languages coming
Marathi and Hindi first, then Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada through the same quality gate.
